On June 12,2012 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, the Regional Report was presented at the meeting of the SICA Security Commission. Vice ministers/ministers and delegations from six countries (Belize did not attend) participated in the event.

Dr. Erich Vilchez, director of legal, political and security affairs at Sica, opened the floor to Maria Eugenia Villarreal who shared with the audience the launch of the REGIONAL REPORT ON STATES’ CAPACITIES TO ADDRESS ARMED VIOLENCE, Latin America and the Caribbean. The report was distributed among the delegates and then a debate took place during lunch.

The vice ministers, ministers and their delegations expressed interest in the report and said that it was a valuable and useful tool for their work, and that they were going to share it with the relevant authorities.
