Cluster Munition Coalition urges states to condemn use of cluster munitions by Syria at the Intersessional meeting to the Convention on Cluster Munitions
Last week the intersessional meetings of the CMC took place in Geneva, in which SEHLAC has participated.
During the meeting Australia, Austria, Cambodia, Croatia, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, and Portugal spoke out at the meeting, against cluster munition use by Syria. Belgium, Denmark, Ecuador, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Qatar, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States have previously made public statements condemning this use. Ghana has also stated that it is deeply concerned by any use of cluster munitions.
