Over the 8th and 9th of December, the annual meeting for members of the Sehlac (Human Security for Latin America) network took place in Buenos Aires, in the offices of the Association for Public Policy (APP) in Villa Crespo.
Participating in the meeting were María Pía Devoto, Pamela Velazquez, María Eugenia Villareal, Héctor Guerra, Mario Díaz, Álvaro Jimenez, Cristian Wittman, Maya León y Serena Olgiati (in virtual form). During the conference, the party conducted a review of Sehlac’s activity in various campaigns, as well as consolidating the structure and organisation of the network in order to better continue its work over the course of 2014.
In addition, the members discussed in depth what activity would take place over the coming year, the potential for the network’s expansion, its participation in international campaigns, and future projects in different areas of humanitarian disarmament.
The conference in Buenos Aires was extremely fruitful, enabling Sehlac’s members to come together to consolidate what the network has achieved over the course of its existence, and in particular to share and unite ideas and opinions of the work that the network is carrying out in each of its separate campaigns.
