First Place

The second place is for Ruben Paredes for his work «My first steps: learning to walk again» and depicts a woman who lost the lower extremities and she is learning to walk for the second time.

From the Human Security Network for Latin America and the Caribbean (SEHLAC) we express gratitude for all the participants of the photo contest, for disseminating and showing interest in this problem that affects many people in the region and we would also urge all those people and partnerships with humanitarian purpose that follow upcoming initiatives and competitions to be held by our net and that will cover different kind of issues related with humanitarian disarmament, human rights and the prevention of armed violence.
